We publish test results only when they come from the current version and can be checked against the real decision. The first results will appear here once testing is complete.
We take planning applications that have already been decided. V-Score produces its report from the application documents alone. Only after the report is saved do we compare it with the council's decision and any appeal.
These are tests of decided applications, not predictions. Each result will show the version tested, the test date, and the council's reference so you can look up the decision yourself.
The evidence for each point is in the report itself. Every point quotes the words it rests on and gives the document and page, so you can open the page and decide whether you agree.
V-Score is not legal advice and does not predict the decision. The council or the inspector decides, and their judgement can differ from any report.
The Check is automated. It is a thorough reading of your documents, not a replacement for your planning consultant. The Audit, available on request, is read and signed by a chartered town planner.
Most applications are checked by the people who wrote them: the agent, the architect and each consultant, looking at their own part. They know what they meant, so they tend to read what they meant rather than what the documents actually say.
The planning officer reads the application cold, with no stake in it. V-Score does the same, before the officer does.
